Serials

There’s a rumbling about on the web, and amongst bloggers, about web serials; serialized pieces of fiction posted on a blog. Each post represents a chapter and the story is updated on what’s usually a regular updating schedule as so deemed by the author. Consider it an homage to the original serials that authors used to have published in newspapers and glossies. A medium willing to take on what could be deemed such a risky venture has finally opened back up with the internet and while serialized fiction isn’t as popular as webcomics (the graphic parent of a web serial), it’s making it’s way up there. If you’re still unfamiliar with a serial, probably one of the most popular modern day hardbound serials would have to be Stephen King’s The Green Mile series. That’s what a web serial is, just printed in cyberspace instead of on paper (although I’ve seen finished serials get printed through self-publishing venues).

Here is a compilation of the serials that I read and I think are worth everyone taking a look at (one is a web comic). I can assure you you won’t be disappointed with any of these. I still have a rather long list of stories to add but they’ll be slow in coming since I like to add as a means of catching up with them. I can’t catch up with all of them all at once so it’ll be one at a time. But be sure to check back here every once in a while to see if I’ve posted anything new.
